1. Scope of this warranty
Unless stated otherwise on the relevant product page, many electronic items sold on Electro-Base.co.uk include a 12-month warranty against manufacturing defects, starting from the date of delivery.
- Coverage applies to the original purchaser only and is non-transferable.
- Where a manufacturer warranty applies, it may operate alongside (or instead of) this warranty depending on the product and manufacturer terms.
- This warranty is in addition to your statutory rights under UK consumer law and does not limit those rights.
2. What is covered
This warranty may cover:
- Defects in materials or workmanship arising during normal consumer use.
- Hardware component failures not caused by external damage, unauthorised modification, or misuse.
Our remedy
Where a covered fault is confirmed, we will provide an appropriate remedy such as a repair, replacement, or refund, depending on feasibility, stock availability, and the nature of the issue.
3. What is not covered
This warranty does not cover (non-exhaustive):
- Damage from misuse, neglect, accidents, liquid ingress, improper installation, incompatible voltage/plug standards, or failure to follow instructions.
- Normal wear and tear, cosmetic issues, consumables (e.g., filters, cartridges), or basic accessories unless faulty on arrival.
- Software problems, malware, data loss, account issues, or incompatibility with third-party apps/services.
- Unauthorised repairs or modifications, including rooting/jailbreaking, custom firmware, or tampering with serial numbers.
- Pixel behaviours within manufacturer tolerance, and expected battery capacity reduction over time.
- Commercial/industrial use unless the product is specified and sold for such use.
4. DOA & transit damage
Transit damage
If your parcel arrives visibly damaged, please note this with the courier where possible and contact us within 48 hours of delivery with clear photos of: (1) the outer packaging, (2) shipping label, and (3) the item damage.
DOA (Dead on Arrival)
If the product is non-functional on first use, contact us within 7 days of delivery for priority assessment and resolution (replacement or refund), subject to inspection and verification.
5. How to make a warranty claim
To start a warranty claim, email us at info@electro-base.co.uk with the subject line “Warranty Claim” and include:
- Your order number
- Product name and (if available) SKU / serial number
- A detailed description of the fault and when it occurs
- Clear photos and/or a short video showing the issue
We may issue an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorisation) and provide return instructions. Please do not return items without contacting us first.
6. Costs & shipping
If a fault is confirmed as covered under this warranty, we will cover reasonable return shipping costs or provide a prepaid label where applicable.
If no fault is found, or the issue is excluded under Section 3, return shipping may be your responsibility.
7. Repairs, replacements & refunds
- Repair: performed by us or the manufacturer using new or equivalent-to-new parts where possible.
- Replacement: same model or an equivalent/better model if the original is unavailable and replacement is appropriate.
- Refund: offered where repair or replacement is not feasible or not appropriate in the circumstances.
8. Data, settings & backups
Please back up your data and remove personal information before sending any device for inspection or service. We are not responsible for data loss or changes to settings during diagnostics, repair, or replacement.
9. Business customers (B2B)
For purchases made under business arrangements (for example, where a separate invoice/contract applies), remedies and timelines may differ. Mandatory rights under applicable law are not affected.
10. Exclusions & limitations
To the maximum extent permitted by law, this warranty does not cover incidental or consequential losses (for example: data loss, lost profits, downtime), except where such exclusion is prohibited by law.
Our maximum liability in relation to a warranty claim will not exceed the product’s purchase price.
11. Changes to this Warranty Policy
We may update this policy periodically. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the latest version. Material changes generally apply to purchases made after publication unless required otherwise by law.
